Brandon Rush to Sign with Timberwolves: Latest Contract Details, Reaction

Unrestricted free agent Brandon Rush is reportedly set to join the Minnesota Timberwolves after agreeing to a one-year deal Wednesday.

Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com reported the contract is worth $3.5 million. The veteran swingman's sports management firm, Priority Sports, confirmed the signing.

Rush is coming off a bounce-back season with the Golden State Warriors. While his numbers aren't going to jump off the page (4.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game) due to an extremely limited role, the fact he shot 41.4 percent from three-point range is the key.

The 30-year-old Kansas product appeared in just 33 games during the 2014-15 campaign and looked completely out of sorts when he did play. He shot just 20.4 percent from the field, including 11.1 percent from beyond the arc, as part of a forgettable season.

Although playing for the offensively loaded Warriors left him without a clear path to regular playing time, he managed to regain his shooting touch before hitting the open market. In January, he told Ethan Sherwood Strauss of ESPN things were finally starting to feel right again.
