Beating the Spurs in San Antonio has historically proven to be next to impossible for anyone. It can be done, but it usually takes a good team firing on all cylinders.
A heroic play at the buzzer can also do the trick.
With eight seconds remaining in Tuesday night's contest and the visiting Detroit Pistons trailing the Spurs 104-103, Andre Drummond picked off a bad Tim Duncan pass, ultimately putting the ball in the hands of Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings.
Jennings fired up an 11-footer as the final milliseconds turned to zero.
The officials added one-tenth of a second to the clock, but San Antonio couldn't do anything with it.
Final: Pistons 105, Spurs 104.
