Bradley Beal Injury: Updates on Wizards Star’s Nose and Return

Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal suffered a broken nose against the Boston Celtics on Monday after getting inadvertently elbowed in the nose by Celtics guard Marcus Smart, per Chris Miller of CSNWashington.com. It is uncertain when he will return.

Latest on Beal's Playing Status Monday, Jan. 25 There is currently no timetable for Beal's return, according to Miller, who added he will enter the concussion protocol. The guard will not travel with the team to Toronto, per J. Michael of CSN Washington. 

Beal Troubled by Injuries in 2015-16 Season This is yet another blow—albeit a minor one—for the shooting guard after he suffered a shoulder injury and a leg injury earlier in the season and was forced to miss time.

When healthy, Beal is an impressive offensive force who gives the Wizards an additional scoring option in the backcourt alongside superstar point guard John Wall. Beal averaged 15.3 points a game last season and 17.1 the campaign prior, and he is posting 19.2 points a night in the 2015-16 season.
