Blake Griffin Investigated by NBA After Team Incident: Latest Details, Comments

The NBA is investigating an incident in which Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin allegedly broke his hand punching a member of the team's equipment staff.  

Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com reported the news Tuesday. Griffin was involved in an altercation at a restaurant during the Clippers' road trip to Toronto this week, per ESPN.com's Michael Eaves.

He's expected to be out "a matter of weeks" due to the injury, and the equipment staffer, who Sam Amick of USA Today identified as Matias Testi, suffered injuries to his face. Arash Markazi of ESPN provided details on Testi's relationship with Griffin: 



Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times indicated Testi has a swollen face, but no fractures, and it's unclear if he will file a lawsuit at this time. Bolch also indicated it is "unclear whether [the Clippers] will be able to welcome him back into the locker room."

While the NBA is investigating, TMZ reported the Toronto Police Department is not investigating because a report was never filed.
