Blake Griffin Injury: Updates on Clippers PF’s Hand and Recovery

Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin hasn't played since Christmas Day due to a quad injury, but the five-time All-Star is now expected to miss additional games after reportedly injuring his hand.

Griffin Reportedly Injured Hand in Altercation with Staff Member Tuesday, Jan. 26 Michael Eaves of ESPN reported Griffin suffered the injury "after hitting a member of the team's equipment staff during an argument in Toronto." Eaves added the "altercation started in a restaurant. It proceeded outside, where Griffin hit the equipment staffer multiple times."

Eaves also said the staffer suffered a facial injury in the incident and was sent home. Arash Markazi of ESPN reported Griffin is "good friends" with the staff member and that they "routinely hang out off the court at home and on the road."

ESPN.com's Marc Stein and Ramona Shelburne originally reported the altercation happened in an "undisclosed team-related incident."
