Blake Griffin Battery Case Dismissed: Latest Details and Comments

Battery allegations have been hanging over Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin's head since November, but the five-time NBA All-Star can now focus solely on basketball, as the case was dismissed Tuesday.

According to The Associated Press (via ESPN.com), the 26-year-old power forward was accused of slapping a man and grabbing his cellphone at a Las Vegas nightclub in October. Prosecutors dropped the charges, however, due to a lack of proof.    

Following the decision, Griffin's attorney, Richard Schonfeld, commented on the matter, per Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times:



According to Austin Knoblauch of the Los Angeles Times, Griffin previously felt as though the allegations against him generated unneeded attention.

"I mean, I feel more bad just for the fact that it's a distraction," Griffin said. "And I don't know how big of a distraction it really is, but it is. And that's what I feel mostly bad about."
