Alan Anderson to Clippers: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

The Los Angeles Clippers and veteran guard Alan Anderson agreed to terms on a contract Tuesday, according to the Orange County Register's Dan Woike. 

The Los Angeles Times' Brad Turner confirmed the news and reported Anderson's deal will be worth $1.5 million over one season. 

Anderson parlayed two strong seasons with the Brooklyn Nets into a one-year, $4 million contract with the Washington Wizards last summer, but injury woes marred his time in the nation's capital. 

The 6'6'' swingman had two surgeries on his left ankle before the season even started, and his debut was delayed until Feb. 24 as a result. All told, Anderson appeared in just 13 games last season. 



In 14.8 minutes a night, the 33-year-old averaged 5.0 points and 2.1 rebounds while shooting 35.6 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from three. 

One disappointing campaign aside, Anderson is a strong veteran minimum signing for a Clippers team that has managed to bolster its depth despite wielding little in the way of cap room, as Woike mentioned:
