Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers are set to open up tournament play at the 2016 Las Vegas Summer League against the NBA D-League Select team.

Simmons enters averaging 10 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists over five games in Salt Lake City and Vegas.

Keys to the Game

The Sixers have yet to win a game in the NBA's premiere summer league, largely because they haven't had a reliable No. 1 option on offense. Simmons is ready to seize that responsibility. He showed he's capable when he trusted his jumper and scored 18 points against the Chicago Bulls.

D-League Select, meanwhile, needs to focus on defending the paint against Philly's trio of bigs: Simmons, Christian Wood and Richaun Holmes.
