Eldis is a gateway to free online documents and organization links on international
development. The site contains summaries of, and links to, over 12,000 documents
and nearly 5,000 organizations.
Honey
Bee Network
The Honey Bee database incorporates about ten thousand green
grassroots innovations, including outstanding examples of
traditional ecological and technological knowledge of farmers,
artisans, pastoralists, fishermen and women, scouted from
more than 4000 villages of India and several other countries.
Humanity
Libraries Project
Through cooperation between UN agencies, universities, and
NGOs, the Humanity Libraries Project offers a free library
of over 1,200 resources containing solutions, know-how and
ideas needed to tackle poverty and increase the human potential
worldwide.
INASP
Rural Development Network
The INASP Rural Development Network was set up to distribute
the significant volume of development information produced
by developing countries themselves, thereby enabling more
South-South knowledge dissemination.
Indigenous Knowledge Database
The World Bank's Indigenous Knowledge Database provides users
with quick access to a collection of indigenous/traditional
practices searchable by country, activity and technology.
Knowledge Finder Libraries
Developed by the Commonwealth of Learning, this site contains a collection of
libraries aimed at practioners of development, governance, management, health,
food and SchoolNets.
Nayudamma
Information Bank
The Nayudamma Information Bank contains information about,
and easy access to, technologies from the South, for the South.
New Zealand Digital Library Project
The Web site provides several document collections, including historical documents,
humanitarian and development information, computer science technical reports and
bibliographies, literary works, and magazines.

Knowledge Network
The network has been set up to collect and share local knowledge in
local languages on vital topics like health, agriculture and education.
Search
for Sustainable Livelihoods
Search for Sustainable Livelihoods uses a variety of communications
methods and technologies to capture and disseminate community
perspectives about sustainable livelihoods. The hope is to
share knowledge emerging from household and community-level
initiatives in the South with other community groups and development
professionals working to promote sustainable livelihoods around
the world.
Sustainable Village
Sustainable Village provides solutions to global problems
using renewable energy and appropriate technology. The company
helps projects in developing countries concerning energy generation,
safe water, public health, long-distance communications, sustainable
agriculture, and micro-enterprise employment. The site also
contains links to over 10,000 appropriate technology and renewable
energy products.
