Penguins 3, Lightning 2—Final (OT)

Sidney Crosby scored the game-winning goal just 40 seconds into overtime, giving the Pittsburgh Penguins a 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 2 on Monday night.

Matt Cullen and Phil Kessel pushed Pittsburgh out to a quick 2-0 edge in the first period, but that didn't last long. Anton Stralman and Jonathan Drouin evened the score before the frame expired.

Andrei Vasilevskiy then stole the show, recording 32 consecutive saves. Filling in for injured starter Ben Bishop, Vasilevskiy stopped more than a handful of outstanding chances for the Penguins and essentially single-handedly forced the extra period.

However, Crosby's tally provided Pittsburgh a much-needed victory. The Eastern Conference Final—which now heads to Tampa for Games 3 and 4—is even at 1-1.
