The Boston Bruins defeated the New York Rangers by a final score of 2-1 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, giving the Bruins a 3-0 series lead.
The Rangers held their own with the help of goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. The New York netminder had 23 saves through two periods, but allowed two costly third-period goals.
The Bruins fourth line out-worked, out-hustled and out-muscled the Rangers, and were on the ice for both Boston goals.
The Blueshirts are now faced with a tall task of winning four straight games to advance, but their focus will be to forget about this Game 3 loss and focus on winning the next game.
